Since being founded in mid 1970s it has helped develop Judo champions. White Rock Judo Club strives to help every individual get the most from their Judo training. Personalized coaching is always available.
Head Sensei Richard Clemas has been studying judo for over 60 years. His Instruction is of the highest caliber.
Practice will be lead by the following black belt instructors: Richard Clemas, Russ White, Manabu Murokawa, Sergio Pastrana and Jonathan Roth.
The club welcomes kids, teens and adults, whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advance
Judo, meaning “gentle way,” is a Japanese martial art and sport. Judo is best known for its impressive throwing techniques but also involves considerable grappling using specialized pins, control holds, arm locks, and choking techniques. The objective of judo is to apply the key principle—maximum efficiency, minimal effort—to the various movements. Practice is performed both individually and in partners. Judo is an activity that is enjoyed by males and females of all ages

If you haven't tried judo before and you don't have your own Gi, please wear comfortable athletic clothes such as a t-shirt and shorts/sweat pants.
You can borrow a Gi for your first class and if you choose to continue, a judo Gi can be purchased on site.
Registration for new White Rock Judo club members $5.00 one time fee.
Tournament entries are an additional fee. JudoBC's fees are yearly from September 1 to August 31 of the next year.
Judo BC fees include membership in Judo Canada.
JudoBC fees are separate from Monthly Dues.
Judo BC yearly membership - $90.00. (Provides accident/liability insurance, entry into tournaments and rank promotion registrations).
